The Open Access Week runs between 2nd and 6th October and its organised by Université de Strasbourg. It is an international event which allows everyone to discover initiatives that aim to promote open access to research results.
Mark Allen, a member of FAIRsFAIR European Group of FAIR Champions, gave a presentation on “The FAIR principles in action for Open Science” during the “Data and Open Science" Session on 5th November. Mark Allen highlighted the benefits and challenges of informing researchers about how to create and use FAIR data. FAIR principles are recognised as being key to enabling Open Science, and they and provide a very convenient way to discuss these concepts across different scientific disciplines.
