FairsFair is organising a workshop on October 22 to be held as a co-located event to the RDA plenary. Entitled “Building The Data Landscape of the Future: FAIR Semantics and FAIR Repositories”, the workshop will gather semantics experts, maintainers of semantic registries and data repositories, and representatives from infrastructures in a crucially important brainstorming session around homogenising data artefacts and repositories.
The session is to be led by the FAIRsFAIR work package “FAIR Practices: Semantics, Interoperability, and Services”. The members of this group work in close cooperation with other FAIRsFAIR work packages, the Research Data Alliance (RDA), and the full range of European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) projects and other stakeholders to improve understanding of the current variety in FAIR data standards and develop practices that support the uptake of FAIR technologies and semantic interoperability.
The event is free of charge but places are limited to 60 people, therefore registration is needed. The workshop is a full-day event and takes place just a stone’s throw from Aalto University, venue for most of the RDA events.
