A total of seventy-three data repositories met the 30 August deadline to apply for FAIRsFAIR support in implementing FAIR principles: 
 

  • Forty-one requests were made for support in gaining CoreTrustSeal certification.
  • Thirty-two requests were made for support in improving data interoperability.

The applications will be assessed by an independent committee of experts. Ten repositories will be selected to receive both a financial incentive and dedicated support in achieving CoreTrustSeal certification process. All applicants will have been notified of the outcome of their submission by 31 October 2019.

In the case of "FAIRification", FAIRsFAIR undertakes to provide: 

  • Access to highly innovative solutions for interoperability
  • Expertise on FAIR principles, processes and technology/implementation
  • Actionable ideas to improve both current practice and portfolio of services
  • The opportunity to become a widely publicised H2020 best practice use-case
  • Dedicated attention from a multidisciplinary expert team 
  • Hosting and a convivial environment for collaboration sessions
